Met this guy at a con in Chicago last year who literally argued with me for 20 minutes about why the fight scenes are perfect. He said the animation alone carries the whole show and I'm just being picky. I told him I think the emotional build up falls flat and the choreography gets repetitive after the first 12 episodes. He got super defensive and kept pointing at the flashy effects like that proved his point. Has anyone else had a fan get that worked up over a simple opinion on a show?

Had to pick between a Crunchyroll and Funimation subscription last month

My budget only let me keep one streaming service so I had to choose between the two. I went with Crunchyroll because it had a bigger library of shows I actually watch like One Piece and JoJo. But now I'm missing some dubs that were only on Funimation and the switchover has been messy. Anyone else stuck in this situation and regret which one they picked?

I was at Anime Expo 2024 last weekend and entered the AMV contest with a Dragon Ball clip I worked on for 3 weeks. Some stranger walked up after my video played and said "your Goku never does that arm angle when he charges a spirit bomb, you ruined the whole flow." I was SO annoyed at first but then I actually rewatched the episode from the Frieza saga. He was RIGHT. I totally botched the arm rotation timing by about 8 frames. Now I rewatch specific episodes 3 times minimum before I start editing any fight scene. Has anyone else had a random fan call out a small detail you missed?

The whole 'beach episodes are filler' take needs to die

I was at a watch party for the latest arc of Jujutsu Kaisen at a friend's place in Austin, and someone said beach episodes are just wasted time. I was rewatching Bleach and wanted to skip the filler arcs for once, so I googled a list online. Turns out almost half the episodes are filler, like 45% or something crazy.
