Had one guy at a con panel tell me my favorite show was trash because of filler arcs

I was at a My Hero Academia panel last fall and this dude next to me kept whispering complaints the whole time. He leaned over and said 'you know season 3 is just padded with training episodes, right?' like it was a secret. Am I the only one who actually likes those slower episodes for building out the side characters?

Those training episodes are what make the tournament arc actually mean something later.

Agree. Makes the payoff hit way harder.
