I used to skip the opening songs on every anime, but a friend made me watch 'Attack on Titan's' first one.

I always hit skip, thinking they were just filler, but seeing the visuals and lyrics together actually set the mood for the whole show. Now I give each new series at least one full listen before deciding. Do you ever find that an opening grows on you after a few episodes?

Skipping openings isn't always about being lazy. Sometimes you just need to get to the main part. The story might start slow. You give it a few tries, then jump ahead. It's like testing the water before you dive in. Not everyone has the time or patience for a long build up.

Honestly I read this article about how our attention spans have gotten shorter. They said people will bail on a video if it doesn't grab them in like ten seconds now. Makes sense why someone would skip an opening if it feels like it's dragging.
