Just realized I'm the only one who doesn't like Demon Slayer's fights

Met this guy at a con in Chicago last year who literally argued with me for 20 minutes about why the fight scenes are perfect. He said the animation alone carries the whole show and I'm just being picky. I told him I think the emotional build up falls flat and the choreography gets repetitive after the first 12 episodes. He got super defensive and kept pointing at the flashy effects like that proved his point. Has anyone else had a fan get that worked up over a simple opinion on a show?

20 minutes is way too long for any Demon Slayer debate.

Man, I gotta push back on "way too long" (respectfully, of course). Some of those early season plot points and breathing technique debates can get pretty deep, and 20 minutes barely scratches the surface when you're talking about character arcs like Rengoku's.
