Just realized the "reaction face" posts are killing genuine discussion in this sub

I used to scroll past them but after seeing 12 straight in the last hour I started checking comment counts and they're all just people posting memes instead of talking about actual shows. Has anyone else noticed the quality of threads dropping since those got popular?

Went from rolling my eyes at these posts to fully agreeing after watching the same tired reaction faces flood every thread today. You're right, the actual TV talk is getting buried under all that garbage.

Used to skip right past posts like this honestly. Figured people just needed something to complain about. But after watching the front page turn into a meme gallery today, yeah you're onto something. Hard to have a real conversation when every reply is a gif.

Three weeks ago I would've scrolled right past this too, honestly figured it was just another rant. But then I saw the same five memes reposted across three different threads and couldn't find a single comment that actually talked about the original topic. Totally changed my view on these posts, now I actually click through to read what people are saying.
