Looking back at my old anime forum posts from 2017 makes me cringe a little.
I found a thread I started three years ago arguing that 'Sword Art Online' had the best world-building, and rereading it now, I can see how my perspective has totally shifted after watching shows like 'Made in Abyss' and 'Land of the Lustrous'.

Honestly, the real cringe is realizing how much we used to argue over opinions like they were facts. Tbh I'm just glad we grew out of that phase.

Ugh, I feel that. My old takes were so bad. It's wild how much your taste can change in a few years.

OH MAN, I feel this SO hard. I literally found a post from 2015 where I was arguing that Fairy Tail had the MOST complex storylines in shonen. Like, reading it now I just want to shake my past self. @park.wyatt you're totally right about arguing opinions like facts - I was so convinced everyone who disagreed with me just didn't GET it. What really got me was how I used to defend characters just because I liked the show, not because they were actually good. Now when I rewatch stuff I cringe at how much I missed because I was so busy being a fanboy. It's like we all went through this collective embarrassment phase and somehow survived with our anime love intact.
