My brother said he skips every opening song, and now I can't stop thinking about what that says
Last week my brother was over at my place in Tacoma and we were watching some shows, and during the second episode he hit the skip intro button before the song even started. I asked him why and he just shrugged and said the openings are filler. That got me thinking about how I used to feel the same way back in high school, but somewhere along the line the opening became part of the ritual for me. Some of them set the mood so well that skipping feels like walking into a theater 15 minutes late. I tried watching one of my favorites without the song and it honestly felt off, like something was missing the whole time. He says he does it to save time and get through more shows, which I get, but I wonder how much of the feeling of a show lives in those 90 seconds. Do you all watch the openings every time or skip them after the first episode?
