My friend tried to explain anime plot twists to me while drunk at a bar in Chicago last week

So my buddy Kevin, who is super into anime, spent 20 minutes trying to tell me the twist from some show where a character is actually a ghost the whole time but I was three beers in and thought he was talking about his actual coworker. I kept asking him if the ghost still shows up to team meetings lol. Has anyone else had a friend try to explain a show to you at the worst possible time?

My neighbor once tried to explain Inuyasha to me at a backyard barbecue while he was grilling burgers. I was half listening and thought he was telling me about some feud with his actual brother over a magic necklace. He kept saying "it's a jewel" and I just nodded and asked if they tried talking it out.

One time my buddy tried explaining the plot of Attack on Titan to me while we were waiting for our food at a diner at like 2am... I just nodded along and ate my fries. Turns out I thought "Titans" were just really tall guys in suits the whole time. He got so mad when I asked if they take union breaks lol. Better to just let them talk and ask clarifying questions the next day when everyone's sober.
