That day last week when my whole watch list bugged out

I had a whole Tuesday off work last week and planned to binge through the new season of that fantasy anime I've been following. But when I opened my streaming app, it said my account was logged out and my watch list was completely empty. I spent two hours on hold with customer service while they kept telling me to clear my cache and restart my router. Turns out their system had a glitch that wiped some user data from the last three years. I had to manually add back 47 shows I was tracking, and I know I forgot at least a dozen. Has anyone else had their progress just vanish like that? I'm still ticked off about it.

Did customer service ever explain what actually caused the glitch, or did they just give you the runaround?

Oh man, you hit the nail on the head... they totally gave me the runaround too. I called three times and got three different stories, one guy said it was a "server timeout issue" but then another person claimed it was a "software patch problem." Never once did they just come out and say what actually broke. I ended up just fixing it myself by restarting the thing over and over, which is probably all they would have told me anyway. So frustrating when you just want a straight answer.
