The 'skip the filler' advice for One Piece finally clicked for me
My friend in Austin told me to skip over 100 episodes marked as filler, and I was sure I'd miss character stuff. I followed the guide for the Alabasta arc and didn't feel lost at all, it just made the pacing way better. Has anyone else tried a specific filler-skip list that actually worked without ruining the story?

Tried that with Naruto once... ended up skipping what everyone said was the best fight in the whole show. Felt pretty dumb having to go back and watch it anyway. Guides can be hit or miss.

Guess you learned the hard way that "filler" doesn't mean "filler for the good stuff.
