Built a cedar planter box vs pressure treated last weekend...

Cedar is way more expensive but it doesn't scorch your hands in the sun. Has anyone else found that pressure treated stuff gets painfully hot by noon?

@taylor_mitchell80 You're not wrong about that heat! I read somewhere that the chemicals in pressure treated wood actually absorb and hold heat differently than natural wood. Something about the way the treatment affects the density or something. Makes sense why my raised beds feel like a frying pan by 2pm. Cedar stays cool to the touch even when it's blazing out, which is nice when you're leaning over it all day.
