My DIY cedar planter box cracked apart after 3 weeks in the sun
Used cheap screws that rusted out and the whole thing fell apart last Tuesday, now I'm redoing it with stainless steel and wondering if anyone else has had luck with deck screws holding up better?

Oh man, I feel your pain with that rust issue. Did you ever try using ceramic-coated screws on outdoor projects? I used some on a birdhouse last summer and they didn't budge even after all that rain we had in July (well, plus the heatwave). But here's the thing, I bought a pack of cheap stainless ones from a big box store and those actually snapped in half when I was driving them in. So I guess it's a mixed bag depending on what brand you grab.
