The day my pergola bolts gave out mid cookout

I was hosting in June back in Wichita, about 14 people over for burgers, and the whole corner post just let go with a pop. One bolt had stripped from a windstorm a month prior, I should've replaced it but thought it was fine. Ended up bracing it with a Harbor Freight jack stand and some deck screws until Monday, now I check every single bracket twice a season. Anyone else had a structure fail at the worst possible moment?
