Tried prefab shed kits vs building from scratch, the kit was a total waste of money
I spent 6 months last year saving up for a $1,200 prefab shed kit from Home Depot. Thought it would be easy, you know just follow the instructions. Ended up taking me 3 weekends and still had gaps in the roof where rain got in. My neighbor built his 8x10 from scratch with plans from a book and his cost like $800 plus 2 weekends of work. His looks solid and mine wobbles when the wind blows. I should've just bought lumber and made my own plans. Has anyone else had a kit that was more trouble than it was worth?

@kaib18 nailed it. Honestly what was the gap like on the roof? I had a similar issue where the instructions said to just overlap the panels but there was a half inch gap, did you end up patching it with something?
