Got told my movie choices were 'too obvious' at a viewing party
Some guy at a bad movie night in Portland last month called me out for always picking the same cult classics. He said anyone can laugh at The Room or Birdemic, but real bad movie fans dig deeper. That stung because he was right. I was just grabbing the lowest hanging fruit every time instead of finding the weird forgotten stuff. Since then I've started scrolling through 80s direct to video horror and obscure sci fi from the 90s. Found this gem called 'The Skateboard Kid' that's hilariously terrible. Anybody else got recommendations for truly obscure bad movies that fly under the radar?

The Skateboard Kid has a sequel called The Skateboard Kid 2.

Wait, does that mean the same kid from the first movie is back... or is it a completely different kid with a skateboard? That's the real question here, because the first one was pretty forgettable and I can't remember the plot at all. Is it a direct sequel with the same characters or just another random kids movie with a skateboard in the title?
