Showerthought: I put on Plan 9 from Outer Space expecting laughs and got bored instead
Last Friday my buddy and I sat down with a six pack to finally watch Plan 9 from Outer Space, since everyone says it is the worst movie ever made. I had been wanting to see it for about 2 years after hearing about it on a podcast from Austin. But about 25 minutes in, I was just bored and checking my phone, and my buddy fell asleep on the couch. I learned that a movie being famously bad does not always mean it is fun to watch, sometimes it is just slow and quiet. The stuff people clip online is the good bad stuff, but you have to sit through a lot of nothing to get there. Has this happened to anyone else, where a so called classic bad movie did not land for your group at all?
