That time my buddy introduced me to 'The Room' back in 2010

I was over at my friend Mike's apartment in Portland, probably eight or nine years ago now. He put on this movie called 'The Room' and told me to just watch with an open mind. About 20 minutes in, he turned to me dead serious and said 'you are gonna hate this movie, but that is the whole point.' We ended up laughing so hard at the terrible script and weird sex scenes that my stomach hurt. That was my first real bad movie night, and I have been hooked on finding gems like that ever since. Does anyone else have a specific person who introduced them to this whole terrible movie thing?

Push back on that? I mean it's a bad movie, sure, but acting like it wrecked whole movie nights feels a little dramatic. You just gotta know what you're getting into and not take it so seriously. Maybe it's just me but I feel like you're overthinking it a bit.

Oh man, my college roommate showed me "The Room" in 2011, and it totally changed movie nights for me too!

Oh man, I gotta push back on that. "The Room" totally wrecked a few movie nights for me (in a bad way). I mean, yeah, it's funny once for the "oh hi mark" stuff, but after that it's just boring and painful to sit through. I'd rather watch literally anything else on the second or third go-round.
