The $3 VHS tape that gave me the best bad movie night ever
Picked up a copy of "The Room" at a thrift store in Portland for three bucks last Saturday. I thought I knew what bad movies were about until I saw that plastic spoon scene in context for the first time. Has anyone else had a cheap find that completely changed how they see bad movies?

Wait, you found a VHS copy of "The Room" at a thrift store? That's insane, I didn't even know it got a physical release that old lol.

Yeah, "insane" is about right. I still can't believe someone actually found that on VHS in a thrift store, of all places. The movie came out in 2003, so a VHS release is wild, but I think some indie distributors pressed a real small batch for the few people who still had players. Finding one in the wild like that is basically a movie nerd lottery win. Your mileage may vary on how much it's worth, but I'd probably frame it.
