The one trick that saved my garbage movie nights
I got tired of people bailing on bad movie nights because the picks were too boring, so I started only showing movies that have at least one scene where an actor clearly regrets their life choices. Has anyone else found a specific filter like that that makes the bad movies actually fun?

My buddy once put on a movie where the lead actor clearly stopped giving a crap halfway through and started mugging for the camera. Half the room was crying laughing at his "I just remembered I have a mortgage" face.

Fionaa35's comment actually reminded me of this one movie where the actor's "mortgage face" was so obvious it became the whole joke. But I gotta say, the trick about actors giving up halfway through - that's a real thing. I remember reading somewhere that in the 1995 film "The Scarlet Letter," Gary Oldman literally told people he only did it for the paycheck and you can see it in every scene. That's the kind of commitment to regret that makes bad movie night worth it.
