Helping a client overcome haircut nerves with a simple conversation
In my experience, clients who are nervous about a change can make for some of the best moments. Last week, a regular sat down and told me he wanted a fresh look but was scared it wouldn't work for him. We talked about his daily routine and what he was comfortable with, so I suggested a low fade with some texture up top. I took it slow, checking in with him after each step to make sure he was okay. When I finally showed him the mirror, his whole face lit up and he couldn't stop smiling. He said he felt more confident than he had in ages and even snapped a few pics. That kind of reaction is a small win that really sticks with me. Your mileage may vary, but how do you all handle clients who are unsure about their cut?
