Chose the $40 Wahl clippers over a $90 set last month and my fade work got worse
I figured cheaper was fine since I only do 8 or 9 cuts a week out of my garage in Akron, but the blade drags and pulls on thick hair. Thinking about switching to the Andis or just going back to what the supply house guy pushed. Anyone run into this with budget clippers?

Man, that is a rough spot to be in. You drop good money thinking you saved a few bucks, and then the tool fights you on every single cut. Blade drag on thick hair is the worst because you end up going over the same spot twice and the fade looks muddy. Been there with a cheaper set years back and I just could not get the blend clean no matter how steady I kept my hand. The pull gets worse as the blades warm up too, which makes a long day feel twice as long. Hope you get it sorted before your next batch of heads.
