My clipper blade fell apart mid haircut yesterday

I was doing a fade on a regular client in Denver and my Wahl blade just snapped right off the clipper. The screw broke clean through and the blade went flying onto the floor. I had to finish the cut with my backup Andis clippers which I keep in my bag. Anyone else ever have a clipper just break on you like that?

Yeah, I saw a barber on YouTube talk about that happening with older Wahl models (the screw metal can get weak after a lot of tightening and loosening). He said it's why he started checking all his screws with a driver before each client, which seems like a smart habit to pick up.

I mean, I do mine by feel before every haircut and I've never had a screw back out on me in 5 years of owning a Magic Clip. Checking every one with a driver beforehand seems a little overkill for most guys if you're not stripping them down constantly.
