Randomly found out barber school in my state requires 1500 hours, I was certain it was lower
I was looking up licensing stuff for a buddy who wants to start cutting, and I stumbled on the Texas barber school requirements. For some reason I always thought it was around 1000 hours, maybe 1200 tops. Turns out it's 1500 hours minimum for a full license down here. I checked a couple other states too just to see, and some are way lower like 900 or even less. It surprised me how much it varies from place to place. Made me wonder if those extra hours actually make a difference in skill level or if it's just red tape. Has anyone here trained in a state with a big hour difference and noticed anything real about the quality?
