Tried the $20 clippers from the drugstore against my usual $200 pair

Spent a slow Tuesday comparing them on three walk-in clients and the cheap ones left bald spots on two guys' necks. Has anyone else tested budget gear just to see if it's worth grabbing for backups?

Oh wow, "the cheap version always costs more in the end" really hit home for me. I bought a discount blender a few years back and it started smoking after three uses. Had to buy a mid-range one anyway, so I basically paid for both. Now I just save up a bit longer and get the thing that's gonna last, at least in my experience. Your mileage may vary but this is one of those lessons I keep having to learn the hard way.
