Used to swear by my $400 clippers until I grabbed a $60 one at a shop in Austin

For 5 years I only used these high end cordless clippers, thought anything cheaper would ruin my cuts. Last month my bag got stolen and I had to borrow a cheap Wahl from a buddy to finish the day. Honestly it cut just as clean and saved me 15 minutes on cleanup. Anyone else find their 'good' tools are mostly just hype?

Man my buddy swore by his fancy trimmer till his dog chewed it and he went back to a twenty dollar Walmart special.

Same here actually. I was Team $200 Trimmer for like two years. Bought into all the hype about battery life and titanium blades. Then I left it on the porch overnight, rain killed it. Picked up a $15 one from the grocery store just to get through the week. That was six months ago. Still going strong.
