Vent: A kid in my chair in Austin yesterday sneezed right as I was lining him up

I had to pivot fast and just freehand the other side to match, and honestly, it came out cleaner than my usual method. Anyone else have a mess turn into a better technique?

My buddy had a client jerk their head during a straight razor line up. He had to do this quick fix with a trimmer that looked way sharper than his usual careful work. Now he does it that way on purpose.

That sudden movement forces you out of autopilot. Freehanding the match makes you focus on the shape, not the tool. Sometimes the mess is just a better way trying to happen.

Totally get that. My best work happens when I'm trying to fix a mistake I just made. Real "happy accident" energy, but mostly just me being clumsy.
