Found out most bike shops charge way less for a tune up than they used to

I was looking at some old shop rate sheets from 2018 that a buddy saved, and a basic tune up back then was like $80-90 in most places. Now I'm seeing shops in Portland and Seattle still hovering around $100-110, which honestly doesn't seem like much of a jump for 6 years of inflation. Labor and parts have gone up way more than that everywhere else I look. Anyone else noticed their local shop holding prices steady while everything else got expensive?

Is getting upset over $100 really worth the energy though...

$100 is still $100, not exactly a steal for a lubed chain and some cable tweaks.

Stop right there. Did you say lubed chain? Those guys seriously charged you $100 to put a drop of oil on your drivetrain? I could see $100 for a full tune-up with adjustments and a wash, but just lubing the chain and fiddling with cables? That's like paying a mechanic $200 to check your tire pressure. If I spent that kind of money, I'd expect at least a free water bottle and a pat on the back.
