Hit 500 wheel trues at the shop, never thought I'd lose count
Honestly, I was going through my work log last Friday and added up the truing jobs since I started at this shop in Denver. It came to exactly 500, which blew my mind because I always figured I'd remember each one. But nope, they blur together after the first hundred or so, mostly because every wheel has its own weird quirk. The real surprise was how my spoke tension feel has gotten so automatic I can do it with my eyes closed now. Has anyone else hit a random milestone like that and realized the job became muscle memory without you noticing?
How did you actually keep track of the number in your log, like did you mark down every wheel with the date and what was wrong with it? I'm asking because after a few hundred I feel like I'd just stop writing stuff down and the count would fall apart. Do you log the tension numbers too or just the fact that you did the job? Curious if the log itself is what made you notice or if you just got bored one day and added it up.
