I finally listened to an old wrench about grease guns
Was bitching about a stuck pivot bolt to a guy who's been turning wrenches since before I was born and he just said 'you're using the wrong gun, kid.' Picked up a Lincoln model 1143 last Tuesday and that thing actually forces grease into places my cheap one couldn't touch. Anybody else got a tool they swore was fine until someone called them out on it?

The Lincoln 1143 is a beast, I had the same problem with a cheap pistol grip gun that couldn't push grease through a worn out ball joint. Had a old timer laugh at me and hand me a battery powered one and it made me feel like an idiot for struggling so long. The difference is usually just getting a gun that actually builds enough pressure instead of just leaking at the coupler.

Them old timers are always right, aren't they? Every time I think I got the fancy new tool that'll save me, some guy with rust on his knuckles shows me a trick that makes my stuff look like a toy. Battery powered is the way to go, I swear that little leak at the coupler cost me an hour of frustration last fall on a tractor hitch. Thought my arm was gonna fall off before I got any grease in there. Probably should have just asked for help instead of cussing at it in the driveway.
