My neighbor thought I was crazy for showing him how to fix his chain
Many mechanics say to keep customers away, but I find teaching them builds trust. What's your take on client involvement?

My plumber showed me how to fix a running toilet last year. I'm not sure that deep trust was built over a flapper valve, it just saved me a call. Sometimes it feels more about the helper's good mood than a real bond.
