Remembering the first time I saw a tubeless setup at the 2008 Sea Otter Classic

I was helping a friend in the pit area and watched a mechanic seat a tire with just a floor pump. It felt like magic compared to wrestling with tubes and levers. Anyone still running old school setups, or is it all tubeless now?

The real magic was that first ride without worrying about pinch flats, that feeling of freedom was wild. Still keep a tube bike for nostalgia though.

Man, that first tubeless ride hits different. @the_gray nailed it, that pure freedom feeling. I was so scared setting mine up, totally sure I'd mess it up. My old tube bike just collects dust now, a sad monument to all my past flats. I keep it around like a trophy for surviving those years. Guess I'm just sentimental for that constant worry.
