Serious question, my torque wrench calibration is off by 3 Nm after a drop.
It fell off my bench in the shop last month and now I'm second-guessing every bolt. What's your go-to method for checking tool accuracy without sending it out?

Just buy a cheap beam wrench to check it, that's what I do.

Man, @haydenbutler, that's a solid tip. I've been burned before by a click-type wrench that was way off. A cheap beam wrench gives you that peace of mind, you know? It's just a simple tool that shows you the real number. Saved me from stripping a bolt on my bike last month.

Right there with you. My grandpa gave me his old beam wrench and I thought it was junk until my click-type let me down on a brake caliper bolt. Felt like a complete moron wrestling with a stripped thread in the driveway at 10 PM. Now I just use the beam one for anything important and save the clicker for rough stuff. Keeps me humble and my bike in one piece.
