That one week last July when everything went right in the shop
Ngl, I had a stretch back in July where I rebuilt 3 old Schwinns in 5 days and every single one rolled out perfect. One was a 1972 Varsity that needed a whole new bottom bracket and I got the old cup out without any heat or drama. Has anyone else ever had a week that just clicked like that where nothing fought back?

My best week was actually the OPPOSITE - everything fought back so hard I had to walk away from a bike for three days. Came back to it, turned the last bolt with my eyes closed, and it worked perfect. Usually when I have a smooth week it means something’s about to grenade on me. I’d probably trust that Varsity more than my own luck at this point.

Jammed my thumb trying to pop a seized seatpost out of a 70s Fuji during that same week. Walked around holding my hand like a dweeb for 20 minutes before I realized the bike was mocking me. Honestly, the smooth weeks are just the universe giving you a nap before the next crisis. Tbh, I'm still suspicious of that Varsity and check it every time I walk past it in the shop.
