Can we talk about how I was wrong about audiobooks counting as reading
Honestly, I used to think audiobooks were cheating for book club discussions. Last month I tried one for a 500-page history book I was dreading, and I actually finished it in 3 days while driving to work. The narrator’s voice made the details stick better than my eyes skimming pages. Has anyone else changed their mind about this after a specific book?

It's funny how we close ourselves off to things until life proves us wrong.

Wait, hold up - you're telling me you actually CLOSED yourself off to things? Like on purpose? That just blows my mind honestly. I mean, I grew up thinking ketchup was basically a war crime (don't even get me started on my dad's hot dog rules) and then one day a friend made me try it on a burger and it was like a whole new world opened up. Used to swear I'd never like olives either, and now I pick them off everyone else's pizza, ha. It's wild how much we can miss out on just because of some random rule we made up in our heads at age twelve or whatever.
