I finally got our book club to agree on one thing: 200 pages max

We met at the library on Elm Street last Tuesday and after 3 months of arguments about long picks, I brought a stack of short novels under 200 pages. Everyone actually started nodding, which never happens with this group. We picked a 180-page one for June and finished the meeting in 40 minutes flat. Has anyone else tried a page limit to keep their club from falling apart?
