My buddy at the Boise library book club says audio counts as reading and I almost walked out
We were picking next month's pick and he said he hadn't cracked a spine in 3 picks, just listened on his drive to Nampa. Half the group said it still counts, half said it's cheating, so now we argue about it more than the books. Where do you all land on this?
Why are you all fighting over how someone else takes in a story? The guy still shows up, still talks about the book, still has takes on whether the ending worked. If he's pulling his weight in the group that's all that matters, and honestly if he's driving to Nampa every day that's probably the only free hour he gets. Save the arguing for the actual books, that's the fun part.
