Can we talk about how crowded Big Sur campgrounds are getting?

I drove out to Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park last weekend and honestly, the number of tents packed into sites 43 through 60 felt like a parking lot. Everyone raves about the views, but nobody mentions you can hear your neighbor's conversation from ten feet away. Why do we keep pretending packed campgrounds are a good experience?

Right?? We packed into Julia Pfeiffer Burns last summer and it was like camping in a Walmart parking lot.
