Debate: How long should it actually take to pitch a new tent for the first time?

I read that most new tents take around 20 to 40 minutes for a first setup, and that sounds about right.

Realistically, 45 minutes to an hour is more honest if it's a brand new tent straight out of the box. Most people forget about figuring out which pole goes where and getting the rainfly on right the first time. That 20 minute estimate only works if you've already set up a similar tent before.
