I finally stopped trusting the weight on the box after my last trip
Bought a 2 person tent last month that said 4.8 lbs on the box, then I put it on my kitchen scale and it came out to 6.3. That half pound per person adds up fast when you're carrying it 8 miles into the woods. I get that they weigh it without stakes or the stuff sack, but it should say that on the label. Anyone else weigh their gear before a trip, or am I just the weirdo with a scale in the garage?
