Just realized my camp chair isn't built for squirrel acrobatics after it broke.

Know exactly what you mean. My camp chair folded up like a taco when a squirrel tried to use it as a launch pad last summer. Those little guys pack a serious punch when they land. I learned the hard way that camp chair fabric and poles just can't take that kind of abuse. Now I keep my chair away from trees or anything squirrels might jump from. How do you stop squirrels from treating your gear like a gym?

Wait, your chair actually folded in half? That's wild, I've never seen one totally give out like that. Morgan329 has a point about them not being built for that kind of impact, but still, a full taco fold is next level. I'd be so mad if a squirrel broke my chair. Maybe we need to start looking for chairs with way stronger poles, because those squirrels aren't stopping their parkour anytime soon.

What did you expect from a camp chair? In my experience, those are built for sitting still, not handling jumping animals. Squirrels can be deceptively heavy and land with a lot of force. Your mileage may vary, but most chairs will fail under that kind of use. Maybe the real issue is assuming a chair should survive squirrel acrobatics at all.
