My MSR stove clogged at 12,000 feet in the Sierras because I used the fuel canister wrong

Turns out if you don't shake the canister before connecting it to the stove, the propane settles to the bottom and the valve freezes up, and I ended up eating a cold dinner while watching everybody else boil water for their ramen - has anyone else had a stove fail on them in a stupid preventable way like that?

Haha yeah the whole 'shaking the canister' thing got me too, I mean I thought I was being smart by not shaking it and ended up with a frozen valve and a cold dinner like you said." I've definitely done the 'watch everyone else eat hot food while you awkwardly pretend cold ramen is actually better' thing, it's a humbling moment for sure. Idk maybe it's just me but I've learned that kind of mistake sticks way better than actually reading the instructions.

3 failed canisters later @rowanw31 and I finally admit you were right about the shaking not being optional.
