A bartender in Austin flipped my whole view on hidden frequencies

I was grabbing a drink after work and this guy, Marcus, starts talking about how his bar's ice machine hums at 60 hertz and it messes with people's moods after an hour. He showed me a phone app that measured it, and we tested two spots in the room, readings were way different. It made me wonder how many everyday noises are doing stuff to us without us knowing. Anyone else ever try measuring sounds in a public place and found something weird?

My phone's tuning app once told me my friend's fridge was making a G sharp, and I spent the next hour convinced it was trying to tell me something. Then I realized I'd left a guitar pick vibrating on the counter next to it, so I can't really trust anything I measure. Still, that bartender's ice machine thing sounds legit, and now I'm lowkey scared to eat at my favorite taco place.
