Hold up, your brother's friend WORKS at JPL? That's the real shocker here. Those folks are like brainiac central. If someone from there says something, you gotta listen. What exactly did he tell you that changed your mind? That's the part I'm dying to know.

Okay but just because someone WORKS somewhere doesn't mean they're always right. People at those places have regular jobs and opinions too. It's not like getting a message from the president of space facts. I'd need to hear the actual point he made before I just flip my whole view.
