My barber in Reno told me birds aren't real and now I can't look at a pigeon the same way
I was sitting in the chair at a barber shop off Virginia Street last month and the guy cutting my hair, who has been doing this for 22 years, casually mentioned birds are all drones made to watch us. I laughed at first but then he pointed out I never see baby pigeons anywhere, and honestly I could not think of one time I've ever seen a baby pigeon. Has anyone else heard this one, or is my barber just messing with the guys who don't tip?
The baby pigeon thing got me too, because I sat there trying to remember one and came up totally blank. Then I felt like a genius because I realized I also have never seen a baby squirrel, a baby bat, or a baby shark, and nobody is claiming those are robots. Turns out the answer is boring, baby pigeons stay in the nest until they are basically full grown, so they look like adults by the time they show up on the sidewalk. Your barber has 22 years of practice at messing with people who stare at the ceiling and say huh.
