My buddy from Phoenix called me out for using the same old 'lone gunman' argument in every JFK debate
He pointed out I was just repeating stuff from a 1998 documentary and ignoring the newer work by researchers like David Talbot. I started digging into the CIA's Mexico City stuff and the House Select Committee files, and it totally changed my approach. Now I focus on the chain of custody for evidence instead. Anyone else have a go-to fact that made them rethink a classic conspiracy?

Got called out for the same thing last year, felt like a real chump. My big wake-up was learning how many witnesses changed their stories after talking to the FBI. Makes you question everything you thought was solid. Now I just get lost in the National Archives website for hours.

That witness thing @king.jordan mentioned is huge. It happens everywhere, like when people at work all agree on a story after a meeting, but you know the first version was different. The chain of evidence idea shows how truth can get lost just in the handing-off, not even from a big lie.
