Overheard a guy at the diner say the moon landings were faked using a soundstage in Area 51
I was grabbing breakfast at a Denny's off I-75 last Tuesday and this older dude at the next booth was telling his friend that NASA used a hidden hangar out in the desert to film all the Apollo missions. He said the shadows in the photos prove there was a second light source, like a spotlight, and that's why astronauts floated around. It got me thinking, is there any REAL evidence that backs up these shadow claims, or is it just people staring at pixels too long?

Holy crap, a second light source? I've heard that one before but it's always some guy with a YouTube video zooming in on a shadow that's like 3 pixels wide. The whole thing falls apart when you realize the sun reflecting off the moon's surface and the Earth itself would create all kinds of weird lighting anyway. It's honestly just people staring at those grainy old photos way too long and ignoring actual science.

Wait, is this really something worth getting worked up over? I mean, @caseyclark, even if the lighting thing is shaky, you gotta admit those old moon photos are so grainy you could make almost anything out. People just get bored and start seeing stuff, but it doesn't mean the whole space program is fake.
