Remember when conspiracy theories were just weird pamphlets and coffee shop talk?

I used to find this stuff in zines at the back of record stores back in '98, like photocopied pages about chemtrails. Now you can't scroll through social media without tripping over some wild theory posted by someone's uncle. Is it the algorithms or just that everyone has a platform now? What changed the most for you?

Algorithms turned whispers into megaphones, man.

Right, because back in the day you had to actually find a guy who knew a guy to get your hands on this stuff. Now it just finds you, sandwiched between a video of a cat playing piano and an ad for meal kits. Algorithms are just the new photocopier, except they're pushing it right into your face instead of leaving it in a stack on a grimy floor. Guess we traded the cool zine aesthetic for a targeted ad, what a win.
