Serious question, I was at the old Denver airport and the murals gave me a real uneasy feeling
The one with the dead soldier and the weird lizard people under the city just seemed off, like it was hinting at something. Anyone else get that vibe from a place that's supposed to be just art?

Oh please, that's just some artist's wild imagination. I've always thought they were just meant to be conversation starters, nothing more.

Funny how that mindset pops up everywhere, not just with art. People say the same thing about old buildings, weird plants in the park, even the stars. It's like we're trained to brush off anything that makes us stop and wonder as just decoration. Makes you wonder what we're missing by not looking deeper.

Oh man, my brain's like a cracked conspiracy detector, so I'd probably see hidden lizard people messages in a bowl of alphabet soup. @martin.margaret, I totally get why you'd call it wild imagination, but sometimes I think we're ALL just trained to ignore the weird stuff because life's easier that way. The dead soldier mural specifically gave me the creeps too, like there's something heavy the artist is trying to say about sacrifice and what's hidden underground. Maybe I'm just projecting because I once spent an hour staring at a water stain on my ceiling convinced it was a map to buried treasure. Turns out it was just a leaky pipe, which is probably what these murals are too, but still.
