Why does nobody talk about the day 9/11 changed how we go through airport security?
I was coming back from a business trip in Chicago in late September 2001, just a couple weeks after the attacks. I remember standing in line at O'Hare and seeing guys in suits with briefcases getting pulled aside for random searches like never before. Before that, security was a joke, you could walk right to the gate with anyone. Now I had to take off my shoes and show my laptop separately for the first time ever. It made me wonder if we traded real safety for just a show of checking things. Some folks say the whole system is just security theater, making us feel safe without real protection. Other people argue it's stopped a lot of bad stuff we never hear about. So what do you think, are we safer now or just more inconvenienced?

Found his spare earplug" - that's wild but honestly TSA has gotten so ridiculous it feels like they're just making stuff up as they go. It's like the whole world's gotten more paranoid and over-the-top about everything, not just airports.
