Appreciation post: the $35 pedal shelf made from a storm window grate

Found an old storm window grate at a salvage yard in Cleveland for 35 bucks. Bent the metal clips to hold pedals, screwed it into my desk frame vertically. Saves so much floor space and actually looks cool with the lights behind it. My last setup had pedals stacked on a pizza box and I kept kicking the knobs off. Has anyone else repurposed weird house parts for their board?
